Here’s part 2 of my “In Stitches” series – Zack Fair

Little was known about Zack before Crisis Core – all we knew was that he was Cloud’s army buddy and that he died. He appeared in Cloud’s flashbacks in Advent Children but it was not until the spiffing Crisis Core came out that we finally got to see what a great character he was. Oh, and he’s not bad looking either (although he’s not as good looking as Cloud *eek – runs away from angry Zack fans*)

Anyway, I dare anyone to play Crisis Core and not warm to this guy! =)

So here he is ready for battle against the armies of ShinRa with the trusty Buster Sword at his side…and don’t forget:

Use brings about wear, tear and rust…and that’s a real waste!
Protect your SOLDIER honour and follow your dreams!

Zack we salute you…RIP!

The design was charted using “Jane Greenhoff’s Pattern Creator 2”
It was stitched on 14-HPI antique-white Aida using Anchor stranded cotton, DMC Colour Variations and DMC Light Effects.

I have not played Crisis Core and I probably won't play it because it's on the PSP. You did a good job with colors and shading. Which leads me to ask a question. Why stitch a little Final Fantasy guy like this when you have the potential for so much more? Make a more graphic Final Fantasy pattern.

If you have a cross-stitch request don't hesitate to ask. I do sell my work on ocassion. Prices will vary depending on size.

Thanks for the kind compliment, I'm glad you like it!

They do say that out of tiny acorns mighty oaks will grow, and I am still finding my feet with designing. As I get more confident, I would like to do bigger more challenging projects using fractionals and petit point!

Sadly, I am going to be studying again as from next month so I probably won't have the time =(

Do you still use graph paper to make your patterns?

It depends on the design.

I haven't with this design, this was designed straight in the charting software.

My Sonic design [link] started out on graph paper and was then transferred into the charting software - it was trickier than I thought but it was helpful.

I use Microsoft Paint to make my patterns. Do you have Microsoft Paint on your computer?

Beautiful work, really impressive, which will be your next character? Barret perhaps?
:iconsaber4734:
It won't make the pattern for you like your program will. I just like knowing I didn't use a program and that the pattern is of my own design.
